David Fitzgerald


David has over twenty years of experience managing private equity and venture capital partnerships & investing in high growth companies. David’s primary focus has been on the healthcare, information technology and business services sectors. Prior to joining Petra, David was a General Partner at Richland Ventures, a venture capital fund with $340 million in assets under management. Earlier in his career, David led market development and acquisition activities for InformDx, a diagnostic laboratory company and THG Management Services, a managed healthcare company.

David has board-level experience with many successful growth companies including: SpecialtyCare (sold to American Securities), US Healthworks (sold to Dignity Health), Televox (sold to West Corp.), Appriss (sold to Bain Capital), Synhrgy (sold to Mercer), Salveo Specialty Pharmacy (sold to Catamaran/Optum), New Century Hospice (sold to Curo Health Services/Humana), Opportune IT (sold to Streamline Health), VirMedica (sold to CareMetx) and Remita Health (sold to Bristol Hospice).

He currently serves as a director on the boards of Urgent Team, SUN Behavioral Health, Clinipace, Etairos Health, Three Oaks Hospice and Alternative Behavior Strategies, where he serves as Chairman.

In the community, David serves as a Trustee on the Board of Harpeth Hall School. David received a B.A. degree from Washington & Lee University.
