Nashville, TN – Petra Capital Partners (www.petracapital.com) is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its investment team. Carter Owen joined the team as Petra’s new Director of Business Development while Sean Murphy joined Petra Capital Partners as a Senior Associate.
Carter joins Petra after origination experience with Gemini Investors, a lower middle market private equity firm in Wellesley, MA. As Director of Business Development, Carter will focus on growing Petra’s pipeline of investment opportunities through developing and maintaining relationships with intermediaries, co-investing partners, business owners, and other sources of deal flow. Carter began his career in sales at Oracle.
Sean came to Petra after most recently working as a Senior Investment Associate at Ascension Ventures in St. Louis, Missouri. While there, Sean evaluated investment opportunities and supported portfolio companies across the Healthcare IT, Healthcare Services, and Medical Device verticals. Before joining Ascension Ventures, Sean worked in Canaccord Genuity’s healthcare investment banking group where he focused on M&A transactions within the Healthcare IT and Healthcare Services space.
