BELMONT, Calif., Jan. 22, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HealthQuest Capital, a growth equity fund investing in innovative healthcare companies that are improving both patient outcomes and healthcare economics, announced today that it has made an equity investment in Etairos Health. HealthQuest will become a co-lead investor in Etairos along with Petra Capital Partners, which invested in Etairos in 2017 at its founding. The proceeds of the investment will be used for acquisitions and other expansion initiatives.
Founded by Jeff Freedman, Etairos Health is an in-home senior care company providing non-skilled and skilled care primarily to the senior population. Care provided by Etairos includes personal care, activities of daily living, homemaking, companion care, respite care and skilled nursing care, which Etairos provides wherever the client calls home. Etairos acquires selected home care agencies that fit well with its care philosophy and business model, integrates and then expands them, allowing for the creation of a leading regional home care provider.
“We are excited to make this investment in Etairos, as the home care industry is seeing notable growth as more stakeholders in the healthcare supply chain recognize the inherent value proposition of home care, providing better outcomes at lower cost to a rapidly growing demographic,” said Dr. Garheng Kong, Founder and Managing Partner at HealthQuest Capital, who previously partnered successfully with Jeff in Salveo Specialty Pharmacy. Garheng, along with Todd Creech of HealthQuest, has joined Etairos’ Board of Directors. “We believe that with this additional growth equity, Etairos is well positioned to continue to expand its home care platform, in both non-skilled and skilled care services.”
“The Etairos management team and Board welcome our new partner HealthQuest Capital to the Etairos team. HealthQuest shares Etairos’ core belief that home care presents a compelling opportunity to improve care and outcomes, innovate and lower overall healthcare costs, while permitting more individuals to age in place and remain at home,” said Jeff Freedman, Founder and CEO of Etairos.
